Choreograaf Koen De Preter is voor zijn nieuwe productie Ballz op zoek naar drie professionele performers uit verschillende disciplines: van circus tot fysiek acteren, van freestyle voetbal tot dans.

Ballz wordt een explosieve, kleurrijke voorstelling voor jong publiek en families. In een speelse choreografische wereld onderzoeken drie performers wat een bal allemaal kan zijn. Ballen verschijnen en verdwijnen, veranderen voortdurend van betekenis en creëren nieuwe spelregels. Ballz is een viering van spelplezier, vol onverwachte wendingen.

Profiel
We zoeken drie professionele performers (x/v/m) met een goede balgevoeligheid. We staan open voor verschillende disciplines en achtergronden: jongleurs, freestyle voetballers, dansers, fysieke acteurs. Nieuwsgierigheid naar wat je met ballen in verschillende vormen en maten kan doen, en interesse in de creatie van een bewegingsvoorstelling met objecten zijn een must.

Je bent beschikbaar tijdens de repetitieweken (voor het merendeel in OPEK, Leuven) vanaf juni 2027. Première in januari 2028 in STUK Leuven. We zoeken performers die woonachtig zijn in België of een verblijfplaats in België hebben voor de hele periode van de creatie en tournee.

Choreographer Koen De Preter is looking for three performers from different disciplines for his new production, Ballz: from circus and theatre to freestyle football and dance.

Ballz will be an explosive, colourful performance for young audiences and families. In a playful choreographic world, three performers explore all the different variations a ball can be. Balls appear and disappear, change meaning constantly and create new rules of the game. Ballz is a celebration of the joy of play, full of unexpected twists and turns.

Profile
We are looking for three professional performers (x/f/m) with good ball control. We are open to different disciplines and backgrounds: jugglers, freestyle footballers, dancers, physical actors. It is essential that you are curious about what you can do with balls of different shapes and sizes, and that you are interested in creating a movement-based performance using objects.

You must be available during the rehearsal weeks (mostly at OPEK, Leuven) from June 2027. The premiere will take place in January 2028 at STUK Leuven. We are looking for performers who live in Belgium or who have accommodation in Belgium for the entire duration of the creation and tour.
